WORMING PREVENTION: Worm every 2 weeks until 3 months of age, monthly until 6months of age. Then every 3 months, for life.
Regularly worming your dog stops the infestation of intestinal worms such as Roundworm, Hookworm, Whipworm and Tapeworm.
HEARTWORM PREVENTION: We recommend the Pro-heart injection which can be given at 12 weeks of age, 6 months and then a booster given annually. Pro-heart injection will last for 12 months when given to an adult dog. A heartworm test is necessary if pet is over 6 months of age or heartworm prevention has lapsed.
Monthly treatments include Heartgard, Advocate, Sentinel Spectrum, Interceptor or Nexgard Spectra.
DESEXING: 5 – 6 Months of age for male and females.
NUTRITION:

A nutritionally balanced dry puppy food is recommended (e.g. Hills, Royal Canin, Eukanuba). Large breed dogs should receive large breed puppy food to prevent growth abnormalities. Puppies should remain on puppy food until at least 12 months of age.

FLEA & TICK: Comfortis is a tablet that rapidly kills fleas on dogs for one month.  Nexgard is also a tablet that kills fleas and ticks on dogs for one month. Bravecto is a tablet that kills fleas and ticks on dogs for 3 months, also Bravecto is available in a spot-on that lasts for 6 months on dogs.
MICROCHIPPING: A safe and simple way to identify your pet if they get lost. It is a requirement that all new pets are micro chipped. Animals can not be sold without a microchip.
Keeping your contact details updated when you move house is very important when your dog is lost. Details can be updated at www.petaddress.com.au
