Dr Rebecca Dempsey BVSc

Brassall Veterinary Surgery welcomes back Dr Bec!

Dr Bec graduated from the University of Queensland in 2011. She began her career working for Dr Craig Smith at his then Karalee clinic, before working along side Dr Craig and our Dr Debby Bowe here at Brassall.

After a number of years of caring for her patients at our clinic, Dr Bec took leave to care for her young family. Since returning to work she has been helping her patients and their owners in the Ipswich region and she is excited to be back where it all began! She can't wait to catch up with old clients and patients and is looking forward to getting to know all of her new ones!

Having grown up with a large fur family, Dr Bec is so thankful that her two young daughters, Eden and Claire, are able to as well. They are following in her footsteps with a love for animals and passion for helping them ..Which Bec hopes her first dog, a German Shepherd x named Princess, knew that she was trying to "help" her with pretend vaccinations as a toddler! It was evident from that young age she was going to have a life with animals, and is so thankful for the support she has had to help her achieve it.

Dr Bec is a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate veterinarian who is highly experienced in performing caesarians, cruciate surgery and all other routine and non-routine procedures. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, and has a special interest in breeding, ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery.

With her own dogs, cats and ponies, she knows how important your pets are to you, and is passionate about treating them as her own.

From when you welcome your new fur baby into your family, to reminiscing when it's time to say goodbye, Dr Bec and the team will be there for you and your pets, offering you options to help, every step of the way.

Dr Steph is dedicated to treating every patient as if they were her own pet. She can’t wait to meet you!
