Dr Craig Smith

Dr Craig Smith

Craig is living his life long dream to be a veterinarian.

He owned his first dog at 4 years old, Brutus, a dachshund. By the age of 8 years old, he knew he wanted to be a vet. Brutus got into a dog fight while Craig was walking his dog, and needed to be taken to a vet.

Brutus recovered and that was when Craig decided he too wanted to be a veterinarian.

Craig has owned many pets, both dogs and cats since Brutus.

He has done many years of study, gaining a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, a Master of Veterinary Science also at the University of Queensland. Craig through further study become a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientist, and is also a member of the Australian Veterinary Association.

Craig has worked his way up the east coast of Australia before returning to Brisbane. He then worked at the University of Queensland's Vet School for over 6 years. In 1997 he became an owner at Karalee Karana Veterinary Surgery, which he sold in 2018.

In 2005 he purchased Brassall Veterinary Surgery.
